Greenville Memorial Hospital
Greenville, South Carolina
Greenville Memorial Hospital was a very intense job.  It included multiple phases of work.  The work included the addition of a 6th floor to one area of the hospital.  The construction of and addition of 6 floors with 4 elevators in the center court of 4 previously built buildings including the engineering and installation of a space frame connecting the four buildings.  An expansion to the emergency receiving area.  The construction of new operating and laboratory facilities.  All of the construction took place while keeping the hospital functioning.

I don't remember how many caissons we drilled on the job.  Many went down a depth exceeding 150' with diameters exceeding 6'.  Soil nailing was required in some areas and some sections of the hospital had to be totally demolished.

Below are pictures documenting some of the work.

This page is still under construction.

This was an MB Kahn Project.
