For me this was a good job with good people to work with. It was a Tilt-Up Project consisting of around 800,000+/- sq. ft. I was not on this job for the entire duration. My primary task was to oversee concrete pours and handle the nightshift. Because of the timeframe and commitment to turn the project over on time we ran the job 24 hours a day until the concrete was poured and steel erection began. Once we had about 95% of the concrete in place I was pulled out and sent to Plainfield, Missouri to do a small T-I and transition into another 650,000 sq. ft. warehouse.
Because of the size of the project and the logistics of the location of the project the much needed essential material (concrete) it was more feasible to set up a concrete batch plant on the site. This was ideal. The batch plant on site allowed us the edge we needed to beat the odds by having concrete when we needed it and the ability to take advantage at a moments notice of bad weather forecasts.
Tilt-Ups, If you've done one I think you've done them all.
